Purple Twilight over the Cypress Swamp, Venice, Louisiana

Venice, Louisiana

Bald cypress trees stand in black silhouette against a purple twilight sky in Venice, Louisiana, with the swamp water below still enough to hold the color. It is a quiet, simple frame: just the trees, the sky and the last of the light. As a metal print the purples stay deep and saturated and the cypress outlines stay razor sharp, which makes it a strong vertical piece for a hallway or narrow wall.
