Moonrise over the Rookery

A full moon glows over cypress trees and a bird rookery at night. The moon gives just enough light to separate the trees from the sky, and the scene has the hush of a swamp after dark. As a metal print the moon stays bright against deep shadows, which gives the piece a strong, almost luminous presence on the wall.
